About Hahnemühle FineArt

Few companies around the world can be proud of such a long corporate history as Hahnemühle's. Founded in 1584 as a paper mill in the highlands of Solling in South Lower Saxony, Hahnemühle developed - strictly following the spirit of its founders - into a customer-oriented and innovative production facility.

It goes without saying that products and production methods have changed to some extent since 1584. Initially, the range consisted only of form-made writing paper, but later artists' newspapers and the Hahnemühle FineArt inkjet paper devised for digital printing have been added to the range. In addition, Hahnemühle papers have been used for decades in industrial production or production processes and in research laboratories.

At the same time, several things have remained the same, such as our high quality standard that guarantees our customers the purest papers for art or technical applications.

Our paper technologists are skilled in their profession. Using high quality pulp and using formulations that are in part several centuries old, they produce traditional artist papers, fine art inkjet papers and specialty papers for industry and filtration. We are - in a positive sense - perfectionists and reliable partners for artists, technicians and scientists. We produce paper according to their requirements, work with them to continuously improve these papers and develop papers for new market segments.
